We attended the Fuck ups nights at the Blue City Fuckup Nights is a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. Each month, in events across the globe, we get three to four people to get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional fuckup. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership deal that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, we tell them all.
So I was at the Fuck up nights hosted at the blue city. The perfect location for an event like this. It was my first Fuck up night ever, listening to people talk about their past mistakes and failure. I know they say that hearing about other people’s failers would make you feel good about yourself. well, it didn’t! Not for me at least. At some point, I couldn’t sit through the whole program but I did see people who brought a date.
I did enjoy Gijsbert Koren and David Mendez they managed to make me laugh and engaged throughout their talk. It’s not to say that the other talks weren’t just as fun it is just I didn’t relate or perhaps I didn’t understand.
Will it be my last Fuckup night? Who knows, I might be a speaker there haha.
