We were invited to the Rotterdamse Zakenvrouw van het Jaar2019. It translates to the businesswomen of the year 2019. It is a Rotterdam annual celebration of women in business.
Rotterdam, the city where people roll up their sleeves and get down to business and high-heeled power women. But who are they, those strong women? 💁🏽♀️👠 They are in businesses like catering magnates, marketing gurus, clothing designers to cybersecurity experts; entrepreneurs with a huge passion for their professions, who do not give up easily and who dare to jump into the deep end. The port city was built by businessmen with enormous willpower and drive. However, you don’t hear about the role women play in building this city!

That’s why the board of Rotterdam Businesswoman foundation believes that female entrepreneurs deserve a stage to shed a light on their accomplishments. That is why the foundation organizes this annual businesswoman election in the river city, Rotterdam. 🏆🏆🥇🥈🥉 The awards were presented on 10 April 2019 in the Burgerzaal of the City Hall. And Alderwoman of Economy & Entrepreneurship, Barbara Kathman gave away the awards! The location was inside the Stadhuis. One of my favorite buildings in Rotterdam.
